About the Role
As an Engineering Technician at Nestlé, you will play a critical role in supporting the factory’s production and maintenance operations. Who Can Apply?
To be eligible for this position, candidates must hold an Ordinary National Diploma (OND) in relevant fields such as Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Food Science Technology, Food Technology, or Agricultural Science. Applicants must have graduated with a minimum of Lower Credit classification.
Additionally, candidates must possess a minimum of five (5) credits in WAEC/NECO including English Language and Mathematics, obtained in not more than two sittings. This academic foundation is essential for success in Nestlé’s structured technical environment.
Experience and Skills Requirements
While the role is open to fresh OND holders, at least two (2) years of relevant work experience as a Production or Engineering Technician within an FMCG (Fast Moving Consumer Goods) environment will be considered a strong advantage. Candidates must demonstrate computer literacy, particularly in Microsoft Office applications, and must be able to navigate digital tools used in engineering documentation and reporting.
In addition to technical expertise, Nestlé is looking for individuals with strong communication skills, both oral and written. The role also demands excellent organizational ability and the capacity to work effectively within a team, following set procedures and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.

A day in the life of an Engineering Technician:
- Carrying out all line operations, troubleshooting and repairs.
- Carrying out quality checks (PRPs & OPRPs) as stipulated in the Quality Management System before, during and after operation.
- Participating in planning and execution of preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
- Adhering to and following defined operational standards.
- Ensuring safety of self, product, workplace and colleagues while also ensuring the control of the impact of these activities on the environment.
- Maintaining Food Safety awareness and its relevance, in order to ensure strict Compliance in the workplace.
What Will Make You Successful?
