Sustainable Family Healthcare Foundation (SFHF) is currently recruiting a Program Officer (Medicals) to strengthen its clinical and field programs focused on sexual and reproductive health (SRH), maternal care, and obstetric fistula prevention. This role is ideal for a licensed medical professional with strong public health orientation and practical experience in health program implementation, especially in development and humanitarian settings.
The Program Officer will actively support the design, coordination, and delivery of community-based health interventions, ensuring that medical components of all programs meet national and international healthcare standards. You will play a vital role in improving access to SRH services, promoting maternal health education, and contributing to the early detection and prevention of obstetric complications among vulnerable populations.
In this role, you will collaborate with field teams, clinical staff, and program managers to monitor implementation, supervise outreach activities, and collect key health indicators for reporting and decision-making. You will also help ensure compliance with donor requirements, coordinate referrals, and support continuous training for health workers.
Ideal candidates will demonstrate strong clinical judgment, field experience in NGO or public health settings, and a commitment to advancing gender-sensitive health programming. You must be skilled in managing health information systems, conducting medical assessments, and advocating for patient-centered care in underserved communities.
Applicants should be registered with the appropriate medical or nursing council and have at least two years of hands-on experience in maternal health or reproductive care. Additional experience in program coordination, data collection, or health advocacy will be a strong advantage.

Responsibilities
What You’ll Do:
Support the planning, implementation, and monitoring of SRH and maternal health projects
Assist with fistula prevention and treatment initiatives, including community sensitization
Conduct training, health education, and capacity-building sessions for clinical and field teams
Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders (including donors and partners)
Participate in field visits, clinical supervision, and data reporting activities
Ensure compliance with healthcare protocols, donor guidelines, and national standards
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Nursing, Midwifery, Public Health, or related discipline
3 – 8 years of experience in maternal health, SRH, or obstetric fistula programming
Strong field experience in humanitarian or development settings
Skilled in training facilitation, clinical service delivery, and stakeholder engagement
Familiarity with public health reporting systems and healthcare policies
Excellent communication, organizational, and team collaboration skills
A Master’s Degree in Public Health or related field is an added advantage
