The Abia State Government, in partnership with all 17 Local Government Areas of the state and LearnFactory Nigeria, is pleased to announce the launch of the second cohort of the TechRise Project. This initiative is designed to empower young people across Abia State with cutting-edge digital and technical skills that are essential in today’s technology-driven economy. The program aims to bridge the digital skills gap, promote innovation, and boost employment through intensive hands-on training across various ICT disciplines. Registration for the second cohort officially opens on 25th June 2025 and will run until 9th July 2025.

Program Duration
The TechRise Project is structured as an intensive three-month program, during which participants will engage in both theoretical instruction and practical project-based learning. The duration is carefully planned to ensure that trainees acquire industry-relevant competencies within a short but impactful period.
Benefits for Selected Participants
Successful applicants who are admitted into the program will enjoy several fully funded benefits aimed at ensuring their full participation and comfort throughout the training period. These benefits include a brand-new laptop, which is essential for all practical sessions and independent study. In addition, participants will be provided with three nutritious meals per day and free accommodation, thereby removing the financial burden of daily upkeep and housing. These provisions are part of the state government’s commitment to removing barriers to access and making technology education truly inclusive.

Participants in the second cohort of the TechRise Project will have the opportunity to specialize in one of the following ten high-demand tech programs, each curated to reflect current industry trends and career opportunities:

Full Stack Development with JavaScript – Learn how to build complete web applications using popular front-end and back-end JavaScript frameworks.

Full Stack Development with Python – Gain expertise in designing robust web solutions using Python and related tools.

Mobile Application Development with React Native – Build cross-platform mobile applications that work seamlessly on both Android and iOS.

Product Management and UI/UX Design – Understand the lifecycle of digital products and gain practical design skills using modern tools and methodologies.
