Job Summary

Sagelife Laboratories, a reputable healthcare provider in Nigeria, is currently recruiting Male Patient Handlers/Healthcare Assistants to join its fast-growing clinical support team. As a Patient Handler/Healthcare Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting the medical team and ensuring the comfort, dignity, and safety of patients at all times. Sagelife Laboratories is committed to providing excellent patient outcomes, and this position is designed to enhance care efficiency and operational flow within our facilities.

The ideal candidate should be physically fit, compassionate, and able to work well under pressure. This is a hands-on role that requires strong interpersonal skills, teamwork, and a deep sense of responsibility towards patient welfare. You will assist with patient mobility, personal hygiene, and transport within hospital departments.

Successful candidates will undergo a Computer-Based Test (CBT) to evaluate their understanding of basic healthcare principles, ethical conduct, emergency response, and situational judgment. The CBT is designed to ensure only qualified and capable individuals are selected to work in this sensitive healthcare role.

Applicants must demonstrate a proactive attitude, excellent communication skills, and a willingness to work on a rotational shift system. Previous experience in a clinical or hospital setting is an added advantage but not mandatory. On-the-job training will be provided for shortlisted candidates.

Responsibilities

What You’ll Do:

• Safely move and support immobile patients within the facility

• Requisition consumables and non-consumables for radiology modalities

• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to support patient care

• Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient work environment

• Observe and report changes in patient condition promptly

Requirements

What You Bring:

• Minimum of Secondary School Certificate (SSCE)

• Certificate in Healthcare Assistance

• Valid Basic Life Saving Certificate

• Must be male, physically fit, and able to lift/support patients safely

• Team spirit, reliability, and a high sense of responsibility

• Experience in a clinical or hospital setting is an added advantage

Salary: ₦125,000 (Take-home), Free lunch provided daily

Schedule: 2-shift system (rotational schedule)
