Job Vacancies
Medical Officer I – CONMESS 02
Responsibilities:

Provide curative, preventive, and promotive healthcare to staff and students.

Diagnose and manage common ailments within the College community.

Carry out regular health assessments and screenings for early detection of diseases.
-
Maintain accurate medical records in line with professional and institutional standards.
-
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive medical services.
Requirements:
-
M.B.B.S. degree from a recognized university.
-
Full registration with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN).
-
NYSC discharge or exemption certificate.
-
Strong communication and patient management skills.
Nursing Officer II – CONHESS 08
Responsibilities:
-
Deliver comprehensive nursing care, including medication administration and patient observation.
-
Assist doctors during clinical procedures and patient management.
-
Provide emergency nursing services when required.
-
Educate staff and students on preventive health measures and lifestyle practices.
-
Ensure compliance with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN) standards.
Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (minimum of Second-Class Lower Division).

Registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN).

Medical Laboratory Scientist II – CONHESS 08
Responsibilities:

Conduct diagnostic laboratory tests for disease detection, monitoring, and management.

Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure quality control standards are met.

Provide accurate and timely test results to support medical decisions.
-
Implement safety procedures in the handling of specimens and reagents.
-
Participate in public health surveillance and research projects within the College.
Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Laboratory Science (minimum of Second-Class Lower Division).

Registration with the Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria (MLSCN).

NYSC discharge or exemption certificate.

Evidence of laboratory experience will be an advantage.
Pharmacist – CONHESS 08
Responsibilities:

Dispense prescribed medications and provide patient counseling on drug usage.

Monitor adverse drug reactions and ensure compliance with pharmacovigilance guidelines.

Manage drug inventory, procurement, and storage in line with best practices.
-
Support public health initiatives through drug education and preventive care campaigns.

Ensure adherence to regulatory standards of the Pharmacist Council of Nigeria (PCN).
Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy (minimum of Second-Class Lower Division).

Full registration with the Pharmacists Council of Nigeria (PCN).

NYSC discharge or exemption certificate.

Good knowledge of drug management systems and ICT applications in pharmacy practice.
Pharmacy Technician – CONHESS 06
Responsibilities:

Assist pharmacists in dispensing medications and managing pharmacy operations.

Maintain accurate drug inventory and prepare stock reports.
-
Provide basic counseling to patients under supervision.
-
Ensure proper labeling, storage, and handling of drugs.
-
Support compliance with pharmacy ethics and safety guidelines.
Requirements:
-
Completion of a three-year training programme in Pharmacy Technology from a recognized institution.

Registration with the Institute of Health Technology for Technician cadre.
-
Evidence of current practicing license.
-
ICT literacy and ability to work with digital drug management systems will be an added advantage.
Salary
Successful applicants will be placed on the approved CONMESS and CONHESS salary structures, in line with public tertiary institution standards in Nigeria. Salaries will also include allowances and other benefits applicable to each cadre.
